Warwick Architectural / Theme 2

I went to Warwick on a sunny day and took some  Architectural photos with my 18-55 lens and my 50 mm lens

                                                                    Castle street

This street was used for filming in the TV series Dangerfield

St Mary, Warwick

Warwick Lord Leycester Hospital

I wanted to get close and capture some detail in the buildings
so i got close to some of the detail in the wood carvings

A night shot i took hand held using the floor to help to keep the camera steady

stratford upon Avon at night / Theme 2 Architecture draft

I took some night shots in Stratford upon Avon using my 18-55 lens and a Tripod

Holy Trinity Church

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre

Health and safety

I was careful only to use my tripod when there was no one around so no one tripod over it
I set the tripod carefully on the floor so it would not fall and damage my camera .

Assignment ideas Macro / Choice of Equipment

               Assignment ideas

Marco

The thing about macro is you can take anywhere so i have to get some photos most times i go out

Some of the places i will go to is to local parks where there are gardens with plants and insects around

Beacon park Lichfeild

A park with some small gardens with flowers and plants
The gardens are usually quite empty so you can spend time taking photo of a leaf or a flower

St nicholas park  /Warwick

The park has some small fishing ponds with a river so might be some opportunities for photography
The gardens are usually quite empty so you can spend time taking photo of a year

Stratford upon Avon / Butterfly park

Stratford has a river Avon running through it and has plants and small wildlife along it

The butterfly park has many butterflies in it with other insects in glass cabinets
Because its indoors you can go any time of year and it will be warm and humid inside for the tropical butterfly's
also the butterfly's are all around you as you walk round so you have always got a shot to take

Sutton park

2,400 acres of heartlands , marshes , lakes and ancient woodlands
so there must be many macro shots just waiting to be found .
My back garden

You can find many macro photos in just a small garden if its just abit of grass a small plant in the garden
because its just a few feet away i can just take some shots for half hour and get maybe a good shots
with different weather from frost to rain you never know what macro photo you mite get .

My equipment for macro on location

I have my camera a canon 450d

The EOS 450D blends an uncompromising performance with ease of use in a lightweight, ergonomic body. Capture your world with a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and the very latest Canon technologies. The 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor gives you plenty of detail for poster-size prints and extra flexibility when cropping. Sensitive in low light and virtually noise-free, Canon's CMOS sensors are also remarkably power-efficient. The EOS 450D captures up to 3.5 frames per second for a continuous burst of up to 53 large JPEG images. The 9 AF points are spread out across the frame to better accommodate off-center subjects. A TRIPOD
I Dont use my tripod mush for loaction macro work but i may use a tripod to get a sharper image and to  help with exposure

A FLASH GUN

I have the jessops 360 AFD

I could use it to help with exposure and sharpness
with macro photography you are using smaller apertures so that extra boost of light can make all the difference .

A SYNC CORD

Perhaps the simplest way to get your flash off the camera, a sync cord fits on your camera’s hotshoe at one end, and via a length of coiled cable provides a mount for your flashgun at the other end.

Hopefully are be able to capture my 10 macro shots using my equipment .
